Living with the pandemic
In 1990 I was diagnosed with HIV - a condition I share with nearly a third of the adult population of Southern Africa. So, this has become another issue that must be addressed as both personal experience and at the same time as the broader problem facing every one of us in this community.
As one poster (designed with other members of NAPWA, in 1997) says: we are all affected, and infected. We are all living with the realities of this pandemic.
